The Minister in charge of National Education, Joseph André Ouédraogo undertook this Sunday morning in Bobo-Dioulasso, “to award four special prizes to school winners in the youth pool in the following disciplines: traditional dance, ballet and archery”, as part of the SNC Bobo 2023.

“At this 20th edition of the SNC, the ministry undertakes to award four special prizes to school winners in the youth pool in the following disciplines: traditional dance, ballet and archery,” said this Sunday morning. the Minister of National Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages Joseph André Ouédraogo.

Minister Ouédraogo spoke this Sunday morning at the Dafra Youth Meeting space in Bobo-Dioulasso as sponsor, at the launch of the official ceremony for the participation of children in the activities of the 20 edition of the SNC.

He invited the children to appropriate the open space for them.

“This space is yours, it is a framework that is offered to you to entertain yourself, to express yourself and to discover the various facets of our art, our culture, in particular dance, music, theatre, drawing, batik, storytelling, puppets, pottery, dodo and circus,” he said.

He invited the children to have fun, to try out all the arts, all the cultural instruments because tomorrow they will be the ambassadors of our culture for future generations.

Joseph André Ouédraogo estimated that “the creation of this space will contribute” to the awakening and the artistic and cultural well-being of children.

He indicated that “our cultural heritage is a treasure that tells us about our past and allows us to better understand our present by valuing it, celebrating it, magnifying it, helping us to celebrate it and to strengthen living together”.

Minister Ouédraogo says he has “the firm conviction that the transmission of our cultural heritage is essential to the formation of young minds to strengthen our living together and form our society qualitatively”.

In his opinion, children must be given “the means to discover and appreciate our history, our art and our literature so that they can understand their cultural heritage and their place in the world”.

The representative of the UNICEF representative Bruno Sanogo invited the children to use this week to learn, carry out artistic and cultural activities that will make them ambassadors and future leaders of this country aware of the richness that It is our diversity to be able to build a future of peace.
