SNC Bobo 2023 special prizes: 37 winners rewarded

Bobo-Dioulasso, The special awards ceremony for the 20th National Culture Week (SNC) took place this Friday, at the Monseigneur Anselme Titianma Sanon culture center in Bobo-Dioulasso . In total, 37 special prizes were awarded to artists.

After a week of competing for talent in the Grand Prix national des arts et des lettres (GPNAL) competitions in various categories, it was time for the artists’ awards on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Monseigneur Anselme cultural center. Titianma Sanon from Bobo-Dioulasso.

In the meantime, the official prizes at the GPNAL, 37 special prizes have been awarded to artists for their creative effort and to stimulate their talents by companies, companies, international organizations…

They left with envelopes of 500,000 CFA francs to 2,000,000 CFA francs as well as certificates of recognition. Among the donors, the ALT which awarded three special prizes in the disciplines of Slam, popular choirs and the star of traditional song, adult pool.

Alaila Ilboudo from Plateau-Central won the ALT special prize, in the popular choir category, the Kouwelilougou troupe from Balleribié from the Center-South region won the ALT special prize and in the star category of traditional song Florence Somé from the South West region comes first. The winners of each category received the sum of a value of 1,000,000 F CFA.

For his part, the President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT), Ousmane Bougouma, sponsor of the ceremony, encouraged those who were not awarded not to give up and to always persevere in the effort. “In culture, there are no losers or winners, Burkina Faso wins,” he said.

As for the Minister in charge of culture Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, he praised the foresight of the government which, despite the difficult security context, insisted on respecting this cultural meeting.

Before also saluting the resilience of cultural actors, populations, organizers, the ministry in charge of culture, deputies who have worked for a week alongside artists to define the major prizes.

According to him, Burkina Faso is showing its resilience and the fact that the country has remained standing despite the difficult security context is the expression of our know-how between the communities and especially of the hyphen through this event.

“By the success of this activity we express here that Burkina Faso remains standing, Burkina Faso will overcome adversity”, he argued.

Eloi Zerbo, winner in the 77 kg category in traditional wrestling received the special prize from the Ministry of Sports and Leisure. He said he was delighted to have won this award which comes after his victory of the old.
