‘Sete Sóis Sete Luas’ Festival: Neapolitan Folk Music in Spotlight in Essaouira

Foreign and National music-lovers enjoyed an unforgettable musical feat, held at the initiative of the Essaouira-Mogador Association, as part of the 2022 edition of the “Sete Sóis Sete Luas” Festival .

The audience discovered an enchanting musical performance inspired by the city of Naples and celebrating the rich history of Neapolitan music.

The group has captivated the audience, gratifying it with beautiful melodies from the rich Neapolitan musical repertoire at the symbolic location of Dar Souiri.

In a statement to “M24, MAP’s 24-hour rolling news channel, artist Carlo Faiello expressed his delight to participate again in this festival and to host this concert in Essaouira.

In similar remarks, the secretary general of the Essaouira-Mogador Association, Kaoutar Chakir Benamara, said that the “Sete Sóis Sete Luas” experience started in 2017 as the city of Essaouira hosted the 25th edition of this festival, which honored great Portuguese writer, José Saramago.

The previous editions of this festival “allowed us to discover several young fadistas like Cristina Branco, Cristina Maria and Sara Correia,” she added.

Composer and musician, Carlo Faiello is one of the founders of the famous Italian musical group “Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare”. He collaborated with renowned artists and participated in many prestigious world music festivals in Italy and abroad.
