Moscow: Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov met with Burkina Faso’s Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Brigadier General C©lestin Simpor©. During their meeting, the two officials discussed military cooperation, as stated by the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Belousov highlighted the strong ties between Russia and Burkina Faso, describing the African nation as a close ally. He emphasized the importance of their friendly relations and the numerous joint projects between the two countries. Belousov expressed Russia’s support for Burkina Faso’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and noted that their military cooperation would enhance their combat capabilities.
Brigadier General Simpor© acknowledged the progress made in military-technical cooperation, citing several implemented projects. He expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the “celebration of the anniversary of the Great Victory over Nazism,” which he described as a key event in ensuring global peace. Simpor© conveyed the fraternal wishes of the Burkinabe people, underscoring the spirit of friendship and brotherhood between the two nations.
