Royaume du Yatenga: Sa Majeste Naaba Kiiba Decore de la Grande Medaille des Ambassadeurs de Paix Universelle

Yatenga: The Federation for Universal Peace (FPU) awarded, this Sunday, September 7, 2025, to the King of Yatenga, His Majesty Naaba Kiiba, the great medal of ambassadors of universal peace.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative is led by the NGO Fatawa Islamique El Hairia of Burkina Faso. This distinction is a recognition of the peace and social cohesion efforts led by the supreme leader of the Yadces since his inauguration.

According to the President of the initiating NGO, Cheick Malick Ouedraogo, this symbolic medal presentation aims to recognize and encourage personalities who are committed to promoting peace, social cohesion, and living together within Burkinabe communities. “In this regard, the King of Yatenga is a reference even beyond our borders,” he said in his message.

For the representative of the Universal Peace Federation (FPU-BF), Abdou Ouedraogo, the NGO was right to award the medal to the king of Yatenga, who works tirelessly for peaceful coexistence between communities. It is therefore a duty for the FPU-BF to associate its image with the initiative in order to magnify Naaba Kiiba’s dedication to good understanding and frank dialogue within the population.

The Prime Minister and Spokesman for the King, Toogo Naaba, thanked the initiators of this recognition. “His Majesty is proud to receive this medal and reassures that he is committed to the quest for peace in Burkina Faso because the current situation in our country requires every citizen to work for the return of peace,” he declared.

The NGO’s top officials announced that four other kings will also receive the Ambassadors of Peace medal to promote a culture of good relations among the citizens of Burkina Faso.

The ceremony took place within the Royal Palace of Yatenga in the presence of customary, religious, and administrative authorities of the Yaadga Region.
