In view of the time constraints, the Royal Commission recommended that the ministry announce the pilgrimage costs to the public once the competent Saudi authorities have determined the costs of basic and additional services, said a statement from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

The window for fee recovery has been limited to 5 working days and will start one week after the announcement of the fees, the same source said. May 31 is the deadline to apply for the recovery of hajj fees for those who withdrew.

The Royal Commission also recommended that the Ministry coordinate with all concerned parties, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, Royal Air Maroc and Saudi Arabian airlines to expedite the necessary measures for the success of the pilgrimage season.

The Commission also called for intervening with the relevant departments to facilitate the transfer of pilgrimage fees and the issuance of visas, given the approaching deadline set by the Saudi authorities for the conclusion of contracts and the issuance of visas.

The persons who were excluded from hajj for the year 2022, due to the age requirement or the non-completion of the vaccination schedule, will keep their right to perform the Hajj next year if the age condition is fulfilled and the vaccination is completed.

The duration of stay in the holy places will not exceed 25 days, the ministry added.

The Royal Commission in charge of the pilgrimage also welcomed the procedure called “Road to Mecca”, set up by the Saudi authorities to facilitate the entry of Pilgrims from the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca.

On April 21, the Royal Commission for Pilgrimage held a meeting during which it was informed of the measures taken by the Saudi authorities in charge of the hajj for 1443 A.H.
