Nando: Members of the Regional Observatory for the Prevention and Management of Community Conflicts (OREPREGECC) of Nando organized a three-day training session on conflict prevention in Koudougou.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this training aims to strengthen the participants’ capacities to better handle persistent tensions, particularly those related to land in the Nando region. The official opening ceremony was led by Lamine Sawadogo, technical advisor to the governor of Nando, who commended the commitment of those involved in conflict management.
Mr. Sawadogo highlighted that this training will enhance the members’ effectiveness in analyzing, preventing, and resolving conflicts. Eight modules are set to be developed for the participants, focusing on the dynamics of community conflicts, techniques for conflict prevention, analysis and resolution, documentation of resolved conflicts, and resource mobilization strategies.
At the conclusion of the session, OREPREGECC members are expected to be equipped with the necessary tools to better understand and defuse conflicts, thereby contributing to stability and social cohesion in the Nando region.
