Rabat, Dakar Driven by Common Will to Further Improve Bilateral Ties (Senegalese FM)


Rabat – Morocco and Senegal are driven by a common willingness to further improve their bilateral relations under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, Senegalese Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, Yassine Fal, said Monday in Rabat.

Speaking at a press briefing following her talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, the Senegalese minister hailed the momentum of bilateral cooperation and the willingness reaffirmed by HM the King and the Senegalese President to consolidate the centuries-old relations of friendship and fraternity between Senegalese and Moroccan governments and people.

The head of Senegalese diplomacy also welcomed the common commitment of the two countries to put their collaboration in the same constant momentum of dialogue and consultation, stressing that her visit to Morocco, the first to a foreign country on a bilateral basis, ‘testifies at the highest level t
o the importance that Senegal grants to its relations with Morocco’.

In this regard, she welcomed the spirit of consultation between Senegal and Morocco on regional and international issues.

Yassine Fal seized this opportunity to express her thanks to HM King Mohammed VI for the participation, on High Royal instructions, of a high-level delegation in the inauguration ceremony of President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.

The Senegalese minister also said that her country is interested in Morocco’s experience in different areas, particularly human development, health, children’s education and crafts.
