President Saied praises relations with KSA at meeting with Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources


President Kais Saied met on Tuesday afternoon Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, who was accompanied by the CEO of Saudi EXIM Bank, Saad Alkhalb, the President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Hassan Al-Huwaizi, and the Vice-Chairperson of the Tunisian-Saudi Business Council, Omar Al Ajaji.

Saied stressed the “deep bonds of brotherhood and solidarity between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, since before Tunisia’s independence and after,” he was quoted as saying in a presidency statement.

The Head of State reiterated his firm determination to continue working with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to further strengthen and diversify these strong ties in various fields for the benefit of the Tunisian and Saudi peoples and their mutual interests.

President Saied also stressed Tunisia’s commitment to providing a conducive environment to encourage businessmen to invest in the country and establish pa
rtnership and exchange relations with their Tunisian counterparts in several promising sectors such as renewable energy, water desalination, health and pharmaceutical industries.

He said that all means will be provided for the success of this cooperation in all fields.

For his part, the Saudi minister conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He pointed out that the intensive and high-level participation of representatives of official structures and the Saudi business sector in the meeting of the joint commission held in Tunisia reflects the Kingdom’s keenness to boost bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

He also expressed Saudi Arabia’s keenness to launch new projects and encourage businessmen and investors to increase their presence in Tunisia, in light of the reforms taking place in Tunisia, which are expected to restore confidence in the investment environment.
