President Ibrahim Traor© Commends Russian Researchers for Development of Orechnik Missile

Moscow: The President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, congratulated Russian researchers for their work in developing the intercontinental ballistic missile known as Orechnik, which he claims is causing global unease. He encouraged Burkinabe students in Russia to seize this opportunity to enhance their scientific knowledge and apply it practically.

According to Burkina Information Agency, President Traor©’s remarks were made during a conference at the Mendeleev University of Chemistry and Technology. He praised Russian researchers for their achievements across various scientific fields. President Traor© highlighted the presence of renowned scientists in Russia, disputing claims that the most prominent figures in physics, chemistry, and mathematics were located in other countries.

President Traor© further shared his observations from attending the Victory Parade in Moscow on May 9, where various Russian weapons were showcased, including advanced armored vehicles. He noted the progress in armor technology, which has benefitted from advancements in chemistry, enabling the development of specialized steel for weaponry.

In a call to action, President Traor© urged Burkinabe students in Russia to capitalize on their educational opportunities and apply their knowledge in practical ways. He referenced the Orechnik missile’s capabilities, as detailed by President Putin in November 2024, describing its speed and the challenges it poses to modern air defense systems.

This statement was made in the context of a recent non-nuclear hypersonic ballistic missile strike on a weapons factory in Ukraine, highlighting the missile’s strategic significance.
