_: A tanker carrying gasoline overturned during the night from Friday to Saturday, causing minor injuries and damaging a car.
According to information collected by the AIB from the occupants, four in number including the driver, it all started with an alert informing them that smoke was emanating from under the tank.
So they tried to stop the vehicle in vain. That’s when he tipped over.
One occupant was slightly injured and a car damaged.
The occupants say they quickly informed the security services and customs.
But before their arrival, a few people helped themselves, tramping on the danger.
All services located nearby were closed, including two financial institutions, causing distress to some customers who wanted to make withdrawals during this festive period.
A safety belt has been established within a 100m radius to cover any eventuality.
