Peace Effort: Producer Offers Mangoes in Support of FDS and VDP

Tenado: Yombi© Mohamed Bazame, a local producer, donated mangoes with an estimated market value of 150,000 CFA francs on Thursday to support the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of Tenado, AIB noted.

According to Burkina Information Agency, inspired by the numerous support initiatives relayed by the media, Mr. Bazame expressed his desire to express his gratitude to those who work daily for the safety of the population. “Seeing on television and on social media so much generosity towards our courageous FDS and VDP, I felt a deep need to express my gratitude to them,” said donor Mr. Bazame.

This concrete gesture resulted in the harvest of part of the production from his orchard, which includes more than 300 mango trees. The donation was presented to the beneficiaries in the presence of the president of the Tenado special municipal delegation, Asmed Dianda.

He welcomed this initiative, emphasizing that encouraging the fighting forces is not limited to material or financial donations. “Active and sincere solidarity is a real comfort to our forces who fight tirelessly for us. They need the support and attention of the entire population,” he added.

The commander of the Tenado gendarmerie brigade, Wendata Aim© Kabor©, spoke on behalf of his colleagues to warmly thank Mr. Bazame. “These gestures deeply touch and galvanize us. They remind us that the population supports us and prays for us,” he said.

The presentation ceremony was also attended by Corporal Alain Ouangr©, representing the military detachment, and Justin Bazi©, representing the VDP.
