Patriotic Immersion Graduates Lead Cleanup at Djibo Provincial High School

Djibo: After the official closing of their patriotic immersion on September 9, the young high school graduates from the Djelgodji region translated their commitment into patriotic acts on Saturday, September 27, 2025, through a major sanitation operation at the Djibo provincial high school. In collaboration with students, teachers, and volunteers, the new graduates from the Djelgodji region cleaned up the grounds of the Djibo provincial high school and public spaces.

According to Burkina Information Agency, from dawn, the establishment vibrated to the rhythm of collective work in an atmosphere marked by mutual aid and patriotism. These actions are part of the continuity of patriotic immersion, a national program which has helped to instill in young graduates the values of discipline, solidarity, and community service.

Although the immersion phase is over, the young patriots have decided to extend their commitment by taking civic action in their locality. The director of the provincial high school, Hamdou Maiga, the supervisors, and the beneficiaries welcomed this initiative, which restores hope and confidence to young people.

For Mr. Maiga, citizen action constitutes a true symbol of collective responsibility and social cohesion. “These young people, now ambassadors of civic duty, show that patriotic commitment does not stop at training, but extends into concrete actions for the good of the community,” he said.

Through their slogans, which were chorused, including “Fatherland or Death, we will win!”, the new graduates reaffirmed their desire to continue working for the development of the town of Djibo and Burkina Faso.
