PASD achieved at 28.91% in the first half, the Central region promises additional efforts

The governor of the Center region, Abdoulaye Bassinga, assured Friday that efforts are underway to improve the rate of execution of the 2024 stabilization and development action plan, which is by 28.91% in the first half.

Governor Abdoulaye Bassinga acknowledged that the current rate is below the 50% expected halfway through the year, but he explained that several factors explain this situation, including the complex security and humanitarian situation.

Despite these constraints, the governor reassures that results will improve during the second half of the year, affirming that many activities are planned for this period.

‘With the combined efforts of all stakeholders, we will be able to significantly improve this rate,’ he declared.

The governor of the Central region spoke on Friday in Ouagadougou during the mid-2024 regional review of the national development policy.

The action plan is structured around four pillars: the fight against insecurity, the response to the humanitarian crisis, state reform an
d national reconciliation.

Mr. Bassinga noted that state reform is the most advanced pillar with a commitment rate of nearly 90.91%.

In perspective, in the second half, 97 products are expected for financing of more than 21.27 billion FCFA.

He invited all stakeholders in the region to be fully involved in overcoming challenges and improving the living conditions of populations, while contributing to the national economy and taking into account social aspects.

‘It is through combined efforts that we will be able to pull the Central region upwards,’ he concluded.
