OTDAV delegation on working visit to Switzerland to monitor Tusip project


Tunis: The Tunisian Embassy to Switzerland on Monday welcomed a delegation from the Tunisian Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Organisation (OTDAV) in the presence of representatives of the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI), as part of the working visit that the delegation is making to Switzerland on July 1-5, 2024, at the invitation of the IPI, the embassy said on its website.

The visit falls under the scope of monitoring the Tunisian-Swiss intellectual property project (TUSIP), funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

The programme includes field visits by the Tunisian delegation to various Swiss IPI structures in Berne, Lausanne and Zurich.

A grant agreement to fund the Tunisian-Swiss Intellectual Property Cooperation Project (TUSIP) was signed in July 2023 between Tunisia and Switzerland, involving not only the Ministry of Trade, but also the Ministries of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries, of Industry, Mines and Energy (represented by INNORPI), o
f Cultural Affairs (represented by OTDAV) and of Tourism and Handicrafts (National Handicrafts Office).

The project aims notably to enhance the protection of intellectual property for entrepreneurs, creators, researchers and producers in Tunisia.
