OIC Secretary General Hails HM the King’s Active Solidarity with Palestinians

During his visit to the headquarters of the agency, Brahim Taha also welcomed the active role of this body in the implementation of several development projects and activities for the benefit of the population of Al-Quds Asharif and support its resistance.

In a statement to M24, MAP’s 24-hour news channel, the OIC Secretary General said he was “pleased and impressed by the initiatives of HM the King and his active solidarity with the Palestinians,” while affirming his appreciation for the work carried out by the Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency for the benefit of the inhabitants of the holy city.

He also welcomed the establishment of the Moroccan Cultural Center “Bayt Al-Maghrib” in Al-Quds with the aim of disseminating the values of tolerance and coexistence between the three cultures and monotheistic religions, recalling that the Organization was established by decision of the historic summit held in Rabat in 1969.

For his part, the Director in charge of the management of the Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, said that his meeting with Brahim Taha was an opportunity to discuss the cooperation and support of the OIC to the Agency and the mobilization of funding necessary for the implementation of its projects in the Holy City.

Furthermore, he expressed his wish to achieve a greater mobilization in the service of Al Quds and its residents, under the supervision of His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee.
