New Year’s Eve: President Saïd calls on free world to unite against hegemony [Upd 1]

President Kais Saïed has extended his best wishes and congratulations to the Tunisian people and the members of the government on the advent of the new administrative year.

At a Cabinet meeting held at Carthage Palace on Thursday, the Head of State took the opportunity to express his wish that the New Year would bring prosperity and peace to the Tunisian people and prayed that God would “protect the homeland”.

Addressing the Tunisian people, President Saïed reaffirmed his commitment to “scrupulously defend the inviolability of the homeland” and declared his determination to “continue on the path of liberation” of the country “by relying on the resources and choices of the Tunisian people”.

President Saïed also said he was “optimistic about the future of the country” and promised to “spare no effort to build a better future for all Tunisians”.

The Head of State also said that as the whole world prepares to celebrate the New Year, “it is the duty of the free world not to forget the Palestinian people, who
are suffering under the yoke of Zionist barbarism”.

Deeply convinced of the importance of the Palestinian cause, President Saied said he would spare no effort to “stand by our Palestinian brothers”. He expressed his conviction that the long journey of the Palestinian people, marked by sacrifice, pain, suffering and setbacks, will finally be “crowned with triumphant victory”.

“We are convinced that Palestine, all of Palestine, will be liberated and that the Palestinian people will succeed in establishing their independent state on their historic land with the holy city of al-Quds as its capital,” he further indicated.

President Saied also stressed that “the impending genocide in Gaza has shown that the positions expressed by the human community are more progressive and forward-looking than those of the stagnant international community.”

He asserted that “this movement of ideas will continue unabated in the coming decades and that many concepts, ideas and balances will change”.

The President added that the
huge demonstrations that have taken place in the four corners of the world, particularly in the capitals of Western countries, are eloquent testimony that the world has indeed entered a new era in its history. “A time when human values will undoubtedly triumph over the hegemonic policies that have brought countless tragedies, famines and wars to the world,” he said.

President Kaïs Saïed urged “the free peoples of the world and the defenders of justice and human dignity” to show unity and solidarity and to oppose, as they should, the various forms of hegemony and colonialism, “of which Zionism and racism are the perfect embodiment”.
