WFP, UNICEF and UNHCR, three actors of the United Nations system offered food and kits to 900 households on May 6, 2023.

The official handover of these donations to High Commissioner Adama Conseiga through their service providers on site in Boulsa, took place on May 6, 2023 in Boulsa in the presence of the prefect president of the special municipal delegation of Boulsa and the Defense and Security Forces. security.

Food (rice, beans and oil), AME kits (essential household items) consisting of pots, blankets, ladles, basins and mosquito nets) and dignity kits (loincloths, soaps, towels, etc.) are among the donations from which IDPs have benefited, taking into account the needs of each.

Indeed, each of the 900 households received food and AME kits.

Women specifically received dignity kits.

It was Judicaël Badiel of the HCR/NRC who handed over the donations to the High Commissioner, President of the Provincial Council for Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation (COPROSUR) Namentenga on behalf of all three partners.

The High Commissioner in turn forwarded the donations to Nongdo Kafando, representing the Provincial Director in charge of Humanitarian Affairs.

The High Commissioner thanked the three structures and hoped that the various donations would be given to the beneficiaries as soon as possible.
