The Command of the Georges Namoano Military Academy handed over flags to all primary schools in the province this Friday, April 12, 2024 in Pô, in the province of Nahouri. This donation received by the Provincial Director in charge of Primary Education of Nahouri, Noaga Damiba, is part of the activities of the exit of the 23rd promotion of active cadet officers from the AMGN of Pô.

Bringing primary school students to know the meaning of the flag, the values it conveys and to display and respect it well, this is the main objective sought by the command of the Georges Namoano military academy (AMGN), in handing over these flags to the provincial directorate in charge of primary education in Nahouri, for the primary schools of the province.

‘We travel through all the localities in the province and we see schools that do not have a flag even though it is our identity,’ said Battalion Chief Williams Baguéra, commander of the Pô military academy.

For him, it is the symbol that unites all Burkinabés and each Burk
inabè must know its value and defend it, especially the very young.

The provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education in Nahouri, Noaga Damiba, welcomed the gesture of the academy.

He is committed to quickly making it available to schools in order to instill the values that this symbol conveys.

‘Each of us is a VDP, we ask the command of the Academy to initiate teachers in defense techniques and behavior in this period of insecurity. This will allow them to carry out their activities, especially in remote areas,’ concluded Mr. Damiba.

It should be noted that this activity is part of the official outing of active student officers from the 23rd promotion to the Georges Namoano military academy
