As part of the agro-sylvo-pastoral offensive initiated by the government, the president of the special delegation of the urban commune of Pô, Iliassa Dianda, was on the ground this Saturday, July 13, 2024, to encourage implementation actors. He successively visited the field of the Ministry of Agriculture located in the village of Pounkouyan and that of the VDP in the village of Tiakané.

Congratulate and encourage the actors involved in the implementation of the agro-sylvo-pastoral offensive initiated by the government, this is the objective set by the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Pô , by going to the field in the villages of Pounkouyan and Tiakané this Saturday July 13, 2024.

In the village of Pounkouyan where the field of the Ministry of Agriculture is located, the PDS found agricultural technicians and producers on site motivated to sow corn in the said field of approximately 5 hectares.

He congratulated and encouraged them for the mobilization and indicated that this grea
t mobilization is proof that the objectives of this government initiative will be largely achieved in his municipality.

For the Village Development Committee (CVD) of the village of Pounkouyan, Bruno Kounilougou and the representative of the head of the departmental agriculture service, Ousmane Sawadogo, this visit by the first head of the commune on the ground to the stakeholders is to be welcomed. its fair value.

For them, the visit shows that everyone at their level is committed to supporting the process and their wish is to have good rainfall for a good campaign.

After the village of Pounkouyan, Iliassa Dianda, accompanied by his 2nd vice-president, Luc Pétrabou and his delegation, headed to the village of Tiakané to see the effectiveness of the ‘free plowing operation’ in the field of Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) also initiated by the government.

According to agricultural technicians, around 81 hectares were plowed as of July 13, 2024 in the commune of Pô.
