On the night of Wednesday May 17 to Thursday May 18, 2023, a Water and Forests agent, on duty at the Provincial Department of the Environment of Nahouri, lost his life between Saro, his native village, and Guiaro, capital of the municipality of Guiaro, located about thirty km west of Po.
According to our sources, he killed himself on the night of May 17 to 18, 2023, with a MAS 36 brand weapon.
Informed, the security services, his colleagues on duty and the customary officials rushed to the scene of the tragedy and after the findings, the missing person was buried on the spot.
The person concerned, a major chief sergeant of Waters and Forests should claim his retirement rights on December 31, 2023.
The Guiaro gendarmerie has opened an investigation to find out the motives for his probable acting out.
According to the sources of the AIB, the days preceding the tragedy, the person concerned repeated that he wanted to die and wished to be buried in his village.
