Mrs. Sié Boro, administrator of cinema and audiovisual, officially took up her duties as provincial director of culture, arts and tourism of Ganzourgou.
The ceremony was held in the meeting room of the Zorgho High Commission, under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of the province, Harouna Karambiri, representing the High Commissioner, Mrs. Aminata Sorgho/Gouba.
Ms. Sié Boro succeeds Mr. Seydou Ouédraogo, who held this position for almost four years.
The handover brought together many participants, including provincial authorities, cultural actors and those close to the new director.
Mr. Seydou Ouédraogo took the opportunity to express his gratitude to those who supported him during his mandate.
“The foundations we have laid are solid,” he said, affirming his confidence in the future of Ganzourgou culture.
In his inauguration speech, Mr. Harouna Karambiri praised the work accomplished by Mr. Ouédraogo and officially welcomed Ms. Sié Boro.
He encouraged her to fully invest herself in her new r
ole, while stressing the need to manage with rigor and transparency.
Mrs. Sié Boro, for her part, expressed her gratitude to the country’s authorities, in particular the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and the Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Mr. Rimtalba Jean-Emmanuel Ouédraogo, for the trust placed in her.
She also thanked her predecessor and all the cultural actors of Ganzourgou for their commitment.
The regional director of culture of the Central Plateau, Mr. Gouinkouni Bernard SABA, also spoke to congratulate Ms. Boro, while highlighting the achievements of Mr. Ouédraogo.
He stressed the need to protect the province’s rich cultural heritage and urged local stakeholders to work with the new director to continue this momentum.
This ceremony marks a new stage for culture, arts and tourism in Ganzourgou, a province renowned for its cultural and tourist potential.
