The Independent High Authority for Elections (French: ISIE) said Wednesday it is making available for Tunisian voters a telephone service to find out the minimum number of voters required for a recall in a constituency.
The service enables Tunisian voters to know their election districts, the winning MP and the minimum number of voters required to file a recall application in a given constituency, the election commission said.
ISIE also urged voters to visit its website or contact regional authorities to know more about this service which, it said, is provided for under the Decree-law n°55-2022.
The recall was addressed broadly in Article 61 of the 2022.
“The MP’s term of office shall be cut, pursuant to conditions laid down by the election laws,” it reads.
