The regional directorate of post-primary and secondary education of Boucle du Mouhoun is organizing from July 5 to 7, 2024 in Dédougou, the 3rd edition of academic and professional orientation days. It was under the presidency of the governor of the region, Babo Pierre Bassinga.
Placed on the theme: ‘Problems of educational and professional orientation in the face of the challenges of employability of young graduates in situations of insecurity’, the 3rd edition of educational and professional orientation days takes place from July 5 to 7 2024 in Dédougou.
These days aim to enable the various actors involved in the education chain to provide useful and precise information to pupils, new high school graduates, students and parents of pupils with a view to good academic and professional guidance and to encourage them an interest in self-employment.
For the regional director of post-primary and secondary education for Boucle du Mouhoun, Dr Denis Vimboué, these days are a forum offered to new baccalaureate gra
duates for their best academic and professional orientation.
‘Information and guidance are and remain important factors for a successful academic and professional life. This activity was initiated with a view to giving new baccalaureate graduates the opportunity to have more in-depth knowledge of existing training offers on the CAMPUS FASO platform, to discover careers, but also to finance their studies,’ said -he said.
The governor of the Boucle du Mouhoun region, Babo Pierre Bassinga, thanked education stakeholders for the efforts made to ensure quality education for children, which is reflected in the good success rate in the various exams. in the region, despite the great challenges they face on a daily basis.
He underlined the importance of these orientation days and called for their continuation.
‘The success and socio-professional integration of young graduates are first dependent on good academic guidance,’ said the governor.
He invited the components of the educational community to invest indivi
dually and collectively in perpetuating such initiatives.
For three days, new baccalaureate graduates will have discussions with education stakeholders, public and private universities and the CIOSPB, conference debates on the issue of orientation, professional integration, self-employment and youth entrepreneurship and career discovery.
Also, with the stands set up for the occasion, they will have the opportunity to interact with universities and major professional schools for the promotion of study and training courses and for a judicious choice with registration facilities.
