Morocco Spotlighted at International Children Care Film Festival

In total, 85 productions were entered in the official competition in different categories. The International Children Care Film Festival, which runs until July 2, offers an international program of short and feature films, in the fiction, animation and documentary genres. It aims to raise awareness and promote the protection of children and youth through the image.

The opening ceremony featured the screening of The Touching (39 min – Slovakia), the winner of the first edition.

This edition honors the Kingdom, through the screening of several film Moroccan productions,” said the president of the festival, French-Moroccan Malika Zairi, at the opening ceremony.

These include short films “Ayam” by Sofia El Khyari, “Jedi” by Hamza Atifi and “Life of a Princess” by Faical Hlimi, as well as the feature film “Indigo” by Selma Bargach, all in official selection in their respective categories.

On these times of violence and social crisis, the festival wants to focus on the theme of child protection and the various systems of protection for childhood around the world with a special focus on the Children’s rights, according to its president.
