Morocco Reports 179 New COVID-19 Cases over Past 24 Hours

A total of 24,916,171 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 23,416,465, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin, noting that 6,861,085 people have received the third dose of the vaccine, while 56,797 people have received the fourth dose.

 

According to the same source, the number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus rose to 1,269,570, while recoveries increased to 1,252,212, i.e. a recovery rate of 98.6%.

 

The new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (62), Casablanca-Settat (61), Marrakech-Safi (23), Fez-Meknes (15), Sous-Massa (09), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (03), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Houceima (03), Guelmim-Oued Noun (02), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (01) and the Oriental (04).

 

As for coronavirus-related fatalities, their number reached 16,286, with no death case recorded in the last 24 hours.

 

The number of active cases stands at 1,072, with three severe or critical cases reported in the past 24 hours, for a total of 10 cases.
