The operation to renew the members of the board of the Maghreb Union was attended by more than 180 lawyers from various countries in the region, the Moroccan lawyer told MAP.

He recalled that this event, held with the participation of experts and specialists from the Maghreb region, was the culmination of a number of meetings held in Morocco, including Rabat and Agadir, and Tunisia.

In addition to the renewal of the members of the board, Bencheikh said that the meeting has addressed a large number of topics concerning lawyers from both countries and the complementarity between services in the Maghreb.

According to him, the objective of this body is to develop synergies and joint action in the region, given that the legal profession is a locomotive for the development of the Maghreb region.

The Moroccan lawyer Moulay Rachid El Gherfi was elected vice-president during this congress, which created an enlarged national council that included 75 members.
