Under this cooperation protocol, signed by Morocco’s upper house speaker, Naama Mayara and his Jordanian peer, Faysal Akef Al Fayez, the two parties commit to taking all initiatives within their competence to strengthen parliamentary cooperation in various fields, said a House of Advisors’ statement.

They also strive to ensure that aspects related to parliamentary cooperation are activated on the basis of their permanent legislative and administrative structures, or through parliamentary friendship groups.

The two parties will also undertake joint activities, including the organization of seminars, forums, study days, training programs for officials, working sessions and regional and international events, aimed at encouraging reflection and exchange of information on issues of common interest, as well as coordinating cooperation within parliamentary bodies at regional, continental and international levels, the same source emphasizes.

The signing of this agreement is part of the strengthening of the deep historical ties of brotherhood, friendship and cooperation that bind the two kingdoms, the statement concluded.
