This initiative is organized in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the World Heritage Center.

The Foundation, chaired by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, aims, through this initiative, to make students aware of these historic places and to raise awareness of the cultural heritage of Rabat.

Similar visits will be carried out daily until April 29, to the benefit of 3,720 students from 62 middle schools in Rabat, Salé and Témara.

This initiative held on the sidelines of the International Day of Monuments and Sites and the Month of Heritage, will be the occasion to discover world heritage sites, such as the Ramparts and Almohad gates, the Kasbah of the Udayas, the medina, the archaeological site of Chellah, the Habous district of Diour Jamaâ, the new city, the botanical garden and the Hassan Mosque.

The inclusion of Rabat “Rabat, Modern Capital and Historic City: Shared Heritage” on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2012, attests to the universal and exceptional value of this city. Indeed, its current profile is the result of a unique and fruitful dialogue between the ancient, Islamic, Hispano-Maghrebi and European past.
