Ouagadougou: the action plan for stabilization and development (PASD) of the Sahel region recorded a physical execution rate of 34.69% against 31.51 for the financial aspect, learned the AIB on Wednesday.
The Sahel regional dialogue framework (CRD) held a session in Dori to examine and adopt the draft performance report for the implementation in the first quarter of 2024 of the action plan for stabilization and development (PASD) of the region.
This performance report highlights the state of execution of the activities of local authorities, decentralized State services, development projects and programs and NGOs as of June 30, 2024.
According to this document, the various actors were able to implement 94 activities out of a total forecast of 271 activities, which represents a physical achievement rate of 34.69%.
An amount of 1 billion 141 million 724 thousand 617 FCFA was mobilized for the implementation of these activities, out of an initial forecast of 3 billion 510 million 754 thousand 652 FCFA, i.e. a
financial achievement rate of 31.51%.
For this performance achieved despite difficult working conditions due to insecurity, the governor of the Sahel region, Lieutenant-Colonel Fabien Rodolphe Sorgho, warmly congratulated the various actors and partners.
According to the head of the Sahel region, there are certainly reasons for satisfaction with these results. However, according to him, additional efforts are still needed to increase regional performance.
This is why he urged local authority officials to make realistic and achievable programs.
According to the regional director of economy and planning (DREP) of the Sahel, Harouna Kaboré, this session of the CRD recommended the acceleration of procurement processes, objective projections and strong involvement of stakeholders and partners for the improvement of regional performance.
