Medical Coverage Generalization: Gov’t Council Adopts Seven Draft Decrees

The Council adopted the draft decree No. 2.22.797 implementing the law No. 65.00 on the Code of basic medical coverage, concerning the compulsory health insurance scheme (AMO) for people unable to pay contributions, said Baitas at a press briefing after the Council.

 

This draft decree aims to ensure the implementation of the provisions of Law No. 27.22 amending and supplementing Law No. 65.00, concerning the system of compulsory health insurance for persons unable to assume the payment of contributions, which law refers in many of its provisions to an organic text.

 

In addition, the Council adopted Decree No. 2.22.857 amending and supplementing the annex to Decree No. 2.18.622 published on January 17, 2019 implementing Law No. 98.15 on the basic compulsory health insurance scheme and Law No. 99.15 establishing the pension scheme for the categories of professionals, self-employed and non-salaried persons exercising a liberal activity.

 

On the other hand, the Council adopted the draft decree No. 2.22.858 implementing the law 98.15 relating to the basic compulsory health insurance scheme and the law No. 99. 15 instituting the pension scheme for the categories of professionals, self-employed and non-salaried persons exercising a liberal activity, with regard to the natural persons keeping accounts who will henceforth be included among the beneficiaries of the compulsory health insurance scheme and of the pension scheme.

 

The Government Council also approved the draft decree No. 2.22.859 amending and supplementing the decree No. 2 21 751 published on 29 December 2021 implementing the law No. 98.15 and 99.15, concerning the traders and artisans keeping accounts.

 

The Council has, on the other hand, adopted the draft decree No. 2.22 860 on the application of the law 98.15 and the law 99.15 concerning the non-salaried sportspersons and sports administrators exercising an activity in football.

 

In addition, the Government Council adopted the draft decree No. 2.22 861 on the application of the laws No 98.15 and 99.15 concerning the non-salaried accredited professional journalists and assimilated.

 

Moreover, the Government Council approved the draft decree No. 2.22.911 concerning the application of the laws No. 98.15 and 99.15, regarding the non-salaried sportspersons and sports administrators who exercise an activity in certain sports.
