Loroum/ Population health: the provincial high commissioner encourages stakeholders

The High Commissioner of the Loroum province, Captain Djibril Bassolé, visited, on Monday August 5, 2024, the health staff of the CSPS Urbain and the CMA of Titao, in order to touch the realities on the ground and encourage the actors.

In Titao, the initiatives developed by the health district and humanitarian workers have contributed to operating at a minimum the urban Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) and the Medical Center with Surgical Antenna (CMA) of Titao.

Despite the difficult security situation, staff are deployed to relieve the populations.

The outing of the High Commissioner of the Loroum province, Captain Djibril Bassolé, on Monday August 5, 2024, to the CSPS Urbain and the CMA, aims to encourage agents in the accomplishment of their missions.

‘We are happy that the authorities came to visit us. We extend our thanks to them. With the winter, there is an influx of people into training and our teams are mobilized for the occasion,’ said the head of the CSPS Urbain, Rachid Zaïda.

At the
CMA, the High Commissioner and members of the delegation were welcomed by staff.

Dr Fayçal Konfé, doctor at the CMA, welcomed the presence of the authorities.

‘It galvanizes us’ he said and nevertheless shared some concerns with the authority.

‘There are exams that we cannot do here and essential kits that we do not have. There are enough difficulties but the essential is done to relieve the populations’ noted Dr Fayçal Konfé.

At the CSPS Urbain as well as at the CMA, High Commissioner Bassolé visited the different services.

At each stage, he spoke with the staff. The provincial authority said it was proud of the work accomplished and sent its encouragement to the district chief medical officer Dr Raphaël Zoundi and all his teams.

‘Health workers are doing well despite the difficulties linked to the security situation. We will play our part so that the problems raised can be resolved,’ underlined the High Commissioner.

Djibril Bassolé invited the population to accompany the health teams because this wi
ll comfort them.

With the massive displacement of populations from the villages of the commune and neighboring communes in Titao and the closure of most health facilities, the need for health care is acute.

Outposts were also initiated by humanitarians to compensate for the shortage of logistics and healthcare personnel.
