Local elections/Ben Arous: Candidate in Mohamedia presents his manifesto


Local elections candidate in the Mohamedia delegation (Ben Arous gouvernorate) Sobhi Saidi Told TAP that upgrading the infrastructure, paving the roads and generalising social security so as to cover to drivers of agricultural machinery, are among the main points of his election programme.

Saidi, who visited on Sunday a number of neighbourhoods in his region, promised to work with local and regional authorities to provide job opportunities for higher education graduates and unemployed youths.

The candidate’s programme further focuses on finishing off the restoration of the region’s archaeological sites and converting them into tourist sites, and speeding up works to revamp the weekly market and neighbouring shops and rent them to young people specialising in traditional industries and other arts and crafts.

7 candidates are vying for a seat on the local council of the Mohamedia delegation.
