Liptako Gourma Authority: a delegation from the Council of Ministers exchanges with the Head of State


Ouagadougou: The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE granted, this Friday at the end of the morning, an audience to a delegation of the Council of Ministers of the Liptako Gourma Authority, present in Ouagadougou for the 65th session of said Council .

Led by the Minister of Mines of Mali, President of the Council of Ministers of the Liptako Gourma Authority (ALG), Amadou KEITA, the delegation spoke with the Head of State on the activities carried out and the prospects.

‘It was an opportunity for us to present to him what this institution has done, and then outline the prospects (…) but also what it should be in this context marked by the creation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES)’, declared the President of the Council of Ministers of the ALG at the end of the hearing.

According to Amadou KEITA, with the creation of the AES the three States have taken a historic step in their march towards sovereignty and integration.

‘This Alliance is in the process of consolidating and
gaining momentum through actions on the security level which have given convincing results on the ground,’ maintained the President of the Council of Ministers of the ALG.

During the discussions, in addition to the advice, the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE shared his vision of the ALG with his hosts.

‘We are working on the actions carried out by the ALG, the perspectives and also on the way in which this institution must be linked to the AES,’ maintained Mr. KEITA. The aim is to make the AES the engine of the dynamic of rapprochement and integration of the three States of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso.
