The Support Fund for Vocational Training and Apprenticeship (FAFPA), through the Grace Divine Faso Danfani Plus Association (AGDFD- plus), offered, on Wednesday August 7, 2024 in Sindou, complete loom and dyeing kits to 20 internally displaced women, after their training in Léraba. The ceremony was chaired by the high commissioner of Léraba province, Mahamadi Congo.
In order to promote Faso danfani while allowing women and young girls in vulnerable situations to take care of themselves, the Support Fund for Vocational Training and Apprenticeship (FAFPA) through the Association grace divine faso danfani plus (AGDFD plus), trained 20 internally displaced women in Léraba.
This was in collaboration with the provincial directorate in charge of Humanitarian Action in Léraba.
From July 18 to August 7, 2024, i.e. 21 days, these learners acquired basic knowledge in small loom dyeing and weaving.
The apprenticeship was made possible thanks to financial support from the Professional Training and Apprenticeship Suppo
rt Fund (FAFPA).
While welcoming the initiative, the High Commissioner of Léraba province, Mahamadi Congo, reiterated his encouragement to AGDFD plus and to the beneficiaries.
The president of AGDFD plus, Gnissira Bado/Traoré, launched an appeal for support for goodwill for these Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
As for the provincial director in charge of Humanitarian Action in Léraba, Ousmane Ouédraogo, he insisted on the real use of the kits they have just received.
He encouraged them to contact the Support Fund for Women’s Income-generating Activities (FAARF), to boost their project.
The head of the Cascades regional branch of FAFPA, Guidalo Tingueri, expressed the availability of his structure to support the population in professional and continuing training.
‘Thus, these beneficiaries will be followed and supported for the rest of the training they have received,’ he maintained.
