Réo: Public and private sector workers and development partners were invited to a day of hiking and tourist discoveries on May 1, Labor Day, the AIB noted. Under the banner of strengthening social cohesion and institutional collaboration, this initiative offered a rich and varied program under the leadership of the High Commissioner of Sanguié, Talari Germaine Ouoba.
According to Burkina Information Agency, participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local heritage by exploring the region’s traditional dwellings by bike, true witnesses to Gourounsi architecture and ancestral ways of life. The adventure continued with a one-kilometer hike to discover the mysterious caves of Réo’s sector 7, offering a combination of physical activity and natural exploration. The cultural aspect was highlighted with a visit to the “Da-do” museum, a showcase of the history of the Lyéla community.
Beyond the tourist discovery and physical activity, this May 1st event was also a space for learning and exchange.
A public conference led by the Regional Director of Labor and Social Protection, Zakaria Sawadogo, helped inform participants about their rights and obligations within the framework of the employment relationship.
To encourage relaxation and networking, the headquarters of the APAD-Sanguié association hosted friendly board games such as Scrabble, Ludo, checkers, pétanque, and card games. A barbecue lunch, accompanied by cultural entertainment, concluded this festive day.
The event, it should be noted, brought together a large audience of more than one hundred people, including managers and agents of decentralized state services, private sector actors, representatives of institutions, projects, and local partners. The participants covered a route of 28.5 km in total, taking them through the jewels of Réo before returning to the starting point at 5:30 p.m.
