For him, it is an initiative to be appreciated, taken seriously and supported.

According to the Provincial Director in charge of Primary Education, Pascal Waongo, the objective has been achieved.

‘It’s culture through education and for education. It is to provide comprehensive training to children for their commitment and active participation in social life. I think that culture even constitutes the foundation of every being and every society,’ he explained.

Pascal Waongo indicated that it is in this sense that competitions are organized in order to promote and perpetuate Burkinabè culture.

As for the Provincial Director in charge of Culture, Amédée Wend-La-Sida Silga, he encouraged and expressed his gratitude for the initiative.

‘This is the added value that our children will have to express to show the world what we have as heritage and that is culture,’ he added.

The provincial high commissioner congratulated and encouraged the initiative and noted that culture contributes enormously in the education of children.

‘Cultural activities complement what children learn at school. It’s really the perpetuation of what we have as cultural heritage in our country. I am proud to be and to let our young children know that we are committed to promoting culture in our country. It is our wealth, it is our added value and it is what we can bring to humanity.

It is a way of integrating culture into education and it is perfectly in line with the political will of our authorities in terms of promoting culture and especially our authenticity and our identity’a- she suggested.
