Kourittenga: The United Youth Association of Nohoungo (AJUN) organized the Community Peace Games Day on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The celebration focused on social cohesion and cultural promotion. The 2nd edition of the Community Peace Games Day, organized by the United Youth Association of Nohoungo (AJUN), held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, brought together the girls and boys of the locality and its surroundings.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the day began with a women’s cycling race and traditional games, transmitting cultural values. Donkey racing, ware, slingshot shooting, petanque, and table football attracted many enthusiasts, who competed in skill and strategy, in a friendly and warm atmosphere. The traditional “dassandaaga” also accompanied the celebration. Local dishes and drinks honored Burkinabe gastronomy and delighted the participants.
A resident of Nohoungo, Sidonie Oubda, expressed her happiness about the celebration, hoping that the promoters would organize it again the following year. A gala match between the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the youth of Nohoungo concluded the day, ending 1 goal to 0 in favor of the Nohoungo team.
Rene Ibeogo, president of the United Youth Association of Nohoungo, acknowledged the match as a mark of recognition and support to all the FDS for their service to the nation. He expressed satisfaction with the level of participation and confidence that with the commitment of the youth, they could achieve even more in the coming year.
Moctar Ilboudo, the High Commissioner of Kourittenga province, welcomed the initiative and encouraged collaboration between defense forces and civilians.
