Kénédougou: The Kourinion Cultural Festival closes its doors

The first edition of the Kourinion Festival took place from April 26 to 28, 2024 in Kourinion, closed its doors on Sunday April 28, 2024, under the theme: ‘Promoting local dishes in times of resilience’. The festival took place under the leadership of the promoter, Ouo Awa Bayala/Traoré.

According to promoter Awa Bayala, this festival aims not only to promote Toussian culture, to boost local economic, social and cultural development but also and above all to strengthen social ties and consolidate living together.

The Patron of this first edition, His Majesty the head of the canton of Kourinion, Santa Ernest Traoré, praised the initiative of the promoter which aims to promote Toussian culture and social cohesion.

The godfather Drissa Traoré and the godmothers all praised the promoter for her bright idea which made it possible to organize this festival.

In addition, they were delighted to have been involved in the organization of this event.

For 72 hours, festival-goers were treated to performances by arti
sts and tastings of local dishes.

The promoter suggested that this first edition was for her, a school, an experience and a giant step forward in her conviction as a woman committed to the development of the commune of Kourinion.
