Kénédougou: Displaced women and vulnerable guests of Banzon provided with food and clothing


Ouagadougou: The host family manager at the Banzon municipal service organized on Saturday July 6, 2024, a community day of food and clothing donation for the benefit of displaced women and vulnerable guests in the said municipality.

In the amount of 1,000,000 F CFA, this donation, consisting of food (rice, corn) and clothing, was mobilized by the population of Banzon.

The handover ceremony took place on Saturday July 6, 2024, in Banzon, rural commune of Orodara.

According to the head of the host family at the Banzon social service, Fatimata Sanogo/Traoré, the objective sought through the organization of this community day is to come to the aid of 100 vulnerable people in the commune, including 51 displaced women. internal and 49 vulnerable hosts.

For the provincial director in charge of Social Action, Lenivo Sanou, this donation comes at the right time and follows the appeal of the president of the transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré by inviting the Burkinabé from the interior and from o
utside to show their solidarity with these vulnerable people.

The President of the Banzon special delegation, Poda Sié, positively welcomed the initiative and the Organizing Committee as well as the technical services for their outpouring of solidarity towards internally displaced persons and vulnerable hosts falling within its territorial jurisdiction.

The day was marked by a courtesy visit to the village chief and a cycling race for disabled people.
