Ouagadougou: The Ministry of Water opened Thursday in Kaya in the Center-North region, an information workshop for media people on the actions to protect water resources carried out by the Liptako Water Agency (AEL) for the benefit of the populations.
In his opening speech, the Minister in charge of Water, through his representative, invited journalists to use their pens to increase the visibility of the AEL and to participate in raising awareness among populations about integrated management of water resources.
According to the Director General of the AEL, Constantin Adama Nikiema, this meeting is first and foremost an exercise in accountability but also a means of popularizing the activities carried out by the agency to sustain and make water available in quantity and quality for populations. The workshop takes place over 2 days in the city of skins and leathers.
