INSEA to Become ‘Real Reference’ in Field of Statistics, Applied Economics – HCP Chief

Lahlimi, who spoke at the first residential seminar of professors of INSEA, has, first, expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the Institute in statistics and welcomed the prominent place occupied by this school.

“Through a successful training, INSEA can now boast of counting among its graduates senior government officials or illustrious heads of private companies,” he said, noting that the Moroccan labor market and the High Commission for Planning (HCP), in particular, benefit amply from the skills and expertise of graduates of this great engineering school.

In the same vein, the director of INSEA, Mohamed Jaouad El Qasmi, noted that this day is an opportunity to, on the one hand, pay tribute to professors and directors who have died or retired and, on the other hand, conduct reflections and fruitful discussions around the new development strategy of INSEA.

He explained that the new strategy of the school to improve the level of the institution, aims through a set of objectives the international recognition of the diploma of state engineer which is a first.

He further noted that the products of statistics, economic studies, simulation of public policies and foresight that today, integrate both economic and societal aspects, must remain a public good available to all citizens.

Created in 1961, INSEA offers its students a diversified and multidisciplinary training, from which five specialties or options emerge: “statistics-applied economics”, “computer science”, “actuarial-finance”, “statistics-demography” and “operational research and decision support”.
