Culinary art is at the forefront of the 21st National Culture Week.

With 47 dishes, heavy, light, desserts and drinks, 42 chefs including one man, from the thirteen regions of Burkina Faso, will seduce the jury responsible for choosing the winner.

Each entry in competition, according to the candidates for the first in culinary art, reflects ‘the diversity of culinary traditions’ of the land of honest men.

Thus, each competitor will bring their own interpretation of Burkinabè cuisine, highlighting local ingredients and ancestral cooking techniques.

The jury, made up of five ’eminent’ chefs and renowned culinary personalities, will have the task of determining the winners.

Beyond the competition, this culinary event provides a valuable opportunity to celebrate and promote the richness
of Burkinabè gastronomy, highlighting the talents of local chefs and encouraging the exploration and appreciation of traditional cuisine.

Culinary art highlights the importance of gastronomy in preserving and promoting the country’s cultural identity.
