Houet: CEB Bobo 4 Celebrates Academic Excellence with Record Success Rate of 89%


Houet: District 4 of the municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso celebrated the 2025 edition of Excellence Day on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in tribute to the stakeholders of the Bobo 4 Basic Education District (CEB). This ceremony, held under the patronage of the President of the Special Delegation of the municipality, Laurent K. Kontogom, and the chairmanship of the President of the Special Delegation of District 4, Balemany Serissouma, had the theme: ‘School Excellence, a springboard for patriotic commitment and endogenous development in Burkina Faso.’



According to Burkina Information Agency, the authorities present commended the efforts of the teachers, supervisors, students, and educational partners, which enabled the Bobo 4 Primary School to achieve remarkable progress in its results. Indeed, the pass rate rose from 50% in 2022 to 71% in 2023, then to 80% in 2024, reaching 89% in 2025.



The Head of the district, Inspector Sanou Sangouansira Oumar Bernard, stated that these achievements are the result of a collective commitment and constant support from local authorities. He congratulated all stakeholders for their determination to improve the quality of education.



To reward their efforts, over 100 school kits, 30 bicycles, 100 certificates, 5 computers, and 2 motorcycles were awarded to the most deserving participants. Inspector Sanou was also recognized by the Special Delegation of District 4, which presented him with a commendation and a laptop in recognition of his leadership and commitment to promoting excellence.



The CEB Bobo 4 also benefited from a printer, donated by the Special Delegation, to strengthen its administrative and educational capacities.
