Horse “Moncef” wins Grand Prix of President of the Republic for Arabian thoroughbreds

The horse “Moncef”, owned by the Bechir Hrairi Stables and bred in Zarzis, won the Grand Prix of the President of the Republic for Arabian Thoroughbreds (127,500 dinars), at the race held on Sunday in the Ksar Said racecourse.

As for the Grand Prix of Carthage (102,000 dinars), it went to the horse “Khaddem” (4 years old), who won the 2000m ahead of twelve other competitors.

The Meddeb stables also won the Grand Prix of the Revolution and Youth (59,500 dinars) thanks to the mare “Esperance”, born and bred in Tunisia.

The mare “Nouve”, owned by the Ahmed Saied Stables, won the Grand Prix of the National Foundation for the Improvement of the Horse – FNARC (34,000 dinars).

For its part, the horse “Jouini”, owned by the Akrem Talbi Stables, finished in pole position in the 2000m race for purebred Berbers and Arabs and won the prize of the race (15,000 dinars).

The prizes were awarded in the presence of Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries, Abdelmonem Ati, Secretary of State for Water Resources, Ridha Gabouj, the Governor of Manouba, the Italian Ambassador to Tunisia and representatives of the embassies of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Libya in Tunisia.
