Tougan: The High Commissioner of Sourou province, D©sir© Badolo, has called upon the residents within his jurisdiction to actively engage in the events of the second edition of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC). The announcement was made on Wednesday during the official launch held in Tougan.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner emphasized the importance of participation during his speech. “I would like to invite you to take part in the coming weeks in the various activities within the framework of the days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation,” declared D©sir© Badolo. The launch of this event was highlighted by a ceremonial flag-raising at the Tougan high commission, attended by defense and security forces, along with other active provincial forces.
The theme for this year’s JEPPC, “For order and discipline: I commit myself,” aims to encourage citizens to contribute to maintaining order and discipline in the community. The High Commissioner further urged the citizens to fulfill their fiscal responsibilities, stating, “For their patriotism, I invite every citizen to pay their taxes to honor the provincial day of fiscal civic duty.”
The JEPPC in Tougan will feature various activities, including a conference on the event’s theme, discussions on civics and citizen participation, helmet-wearing awareness campaigns, a provincial day of fiscal civics, and a focus on health and local consumption.
