Sourou: The High Commissioner of the Sourou province, Desire Badolo, congratulated the Notre-Dame de l’Annonciation (NDA) college of Tougan on Thursday for its involvement during the days of tribute to the father of the Burkinabe Revolution, Captain Thomas Sankara. Mr. Badolo was speaking during a solemn flag-raising ceremony held at the school, which included a prayer by the school’s headmistress, Sister Albertine Pare, the raising of the national flag, the reading of the High Commissioner’s speech, and a visit to seedlings planted under the presidential initiative “A Green Burkina Faso”.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was attended by key figures from the province, including those involved in basic and secondary education. In his address, the High Commissioner recalled that the Burkinabe Revolution is rooted in the spirit of service and dedication. He emphasized that participation in the Revolution should be for service, not personal gain.
Mr. Badolo congratulated Notre-Dame College for its mobilization efforts and encouraged the school to continue on this path. He also invited other schools to emulate this example. Despite challenging weather conditions, Notre-Dame de l’Annonciation college demonstrated strong involvement during the tribute to Captain Thomas Sankara, which took place on October 15th in Tougan.
