Rabat – The Ministry of Tourism, Handicraft and Social and Solidarity Economy (Tourism Department) calls on the citizens, selected in the draw of the Hajj supervised by the tourist travel agencies, to contact the agencies authorized to organize the Hajj for the year 2022 in order to complete their files.
In order to enlighten all citizens wishing to perform the rites of Hajj through tourist travel agencies, and to make them aware of their rights and duties, the Department of Tourism stresses that pilgrims have the right to ask the chosen agencies to get informed, before signing the contract, of the proposed services, prices and payment terms with Barid Bank as well as the conditions of cancellation of the contract in order to preserve the interests of all the contracting parties and to ensure that the rituals will take place in the best conditions, the ministry said Friday in a statement.
The pilgrim should also make sure that the total amount fixed by the agency and the one mentioned in the contract signed with the agency as well as the one he/she will pay at the counters of Barid Bank are identical, as each pilgrim is obliged to pay the totality of the pilgrimage fees in a single payment to Barid Bank, the same source said.
The department also informs that citizens can consult the list of travel agencies authorized to organize the Hajj for the year 2022 on the portal of the Department of Tourism via the link “www.tourisme.gov.ma”.
