Reacting to questions from journalists at a press briefing held after the weekly meeting of the Government Council, Baitas said that more clarification will be presented just after the announcement of new fuel prices.
The value of this new tranche of support to professionals in the road transport sector will be set on the basis of new fuel prices to be announced in early August, according to the government official.
The government had launched last March, the process of exceptional support for professionals in the road transport sector, to preserve the purchasing power of citizens in the face of soaring fuel prices.
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics had announced in late June that the government had decided to increase by 40% the value of support granted to road transport professionals under the fourth round of support measures.
