Ouahigouya: The Governor of the North region, Thomas Yampa, has expressed his ambitious expectations for the 2025 school exams, urging candidates to achieve a 100% success rate. This declaration was made during the commencement of the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and entry into 6th grade exams, as well as the First Cycle Study Certificate (BEPC), the Professional Studies Certificate (BEP), and the Professional Aptitude Certificate (CAP) exams in Ouahigouya.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Governor officially marked the beginning of the written tests for primary and secondary school exams in the region. A total of 25,468 candidates, including 14,558 girls from 37 basic education districts in the provinces of Loroum, Passor©, Yatenga, and Zondoma, are participating in the CEP exams to earn their first school diploma. Additionally, 10,844 candidates are vying for the BEPC, while 768 are taking the CAP and BEP exams.
Among the candidates for the secondary school exams are 833 internally displaced individuals, who will be taking their tests across various secondary schools. Governor Yampa launched the exams at WendPingr© public primary school and Yamwaya high school in Ouahigouya, where he also offered practical advice to the candidates and reiterated his expectations for a perfect success rate.
The Governor extended his congratulations to all involved in the organization and execution of the exams, including regional and provincial directors, coordinators, center presidents, jury presidents, supervisors, and examiners. He praised their resilience, mobilization, and commitment to ensuring the success of the 2025 exam session.
